Universal Calls Paul Walker's Death "Heartbreaking" and "Devastating"
Universal Pictures, who made all the "Fast and Furious" films, is mourning the loss of the franchise's star, Paul Walker. "All of us at Universal are heartbroken," a rep tells toofab. "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the FAST AND FURIOUS films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

Walker died in a car crash on Saturday in Santa Clarita, California. He was 40. The actor was seen filming scenes for the upcoming "Fast & Furious 7" as recently as last week. It's unclear how Walker's death will affect filming or how far into along they were.

The 40-year-old played Brian O'Conner in five of the films in the franchise and recently said the studio wanted to make at least three more films after Part 7.

"Well, the studio supposedly wants 8, 9 and 10," he told Collider. "I'll be 50 [by the time they're finished]. Even if 7 were to tank, there's at least an 8. That's a guarantee."
Do you think the franchise will still continue that long into the future without one of its main stars?
I'm Not Attracted To Nigerian Men -Chioma Troplis

Background
My name is Chioma Toplis, an actress. I am from a family of seven in Umuahia, Abia State.  I am the fourth child. I am married with three children. My husband is from England and my family is based in the United Kingdom. I came into Nollywood in 2004.

Marriage to a Briton
I met my husband in Nigeria 18 years ago. I met him at a party that was organised by my friend’s company. He said he liked the way I was laughing. I did not even notice his presence because I was very young and naive at the time.

Business
I run a boutique and interior decoration business. All the jobs I do give me satisfaction. I act mostly when I come to Nigeria. I have been offered some jobs in the United Kingdom a few times but I have not had the time to do them. In the United Kingdom, I run my business from home. I don’t have a shop but I have a lot of customers.  I don’t have any intention of opening shop there but I plan to open more branches for my business here.
Chioma Toplis
Business challenges
The challenges are minimal and I enjoy what I do.  Business pays me more here because I have more customers here than in the United Kingdom.

Balancing family life and acting
I have been in Nigeria for the past two months working on some movies. It is time for me to go back home to my family. I have a job I am supposed to do in Asaba but I cannot do it. I don’t want to sacrifice my family for movie jobs. Secondly, my husband is okay with my job but he is not there with the kids at the moment. They are with the nanny. My children are aged between 13 and 19.   They are used to the system. We get in touch regularly through phone calls.

Temptation from Nollywood ‘boys’
I am not tempted. I hardly come out so there is no question of male attention. I am married to my business and people hardly see me outside.  Men can only be attracted to me when they see me. I hardly go to parties when I am in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, there is no man here that I can be attracted to.

Nigerian movie industry
There has been a lot of improvement compared to when I came here in 2004. There is improvement in both technical and story quality. I would not say that there is opportunity for Nigerian actors in the United Kingdom. I know that some people have been able to break into the industry but that is because they have the accent. If you do not have the British accent, you cannot be an actor there. It is also rare to see them creating a role for Nigerians. They create a lot of Jamaican characters but not Nigerians.

Education
I studied English in Barking College, London.

Beauty routine
I cleanse and moisturise my body regularly. Apart from that I use powder on my face.

Style
Style means a lot to me. It tells all about me.  Whenever I am going out, I style myself and I always get it right. My fashion blends and fits the particular occasion I am going to.  I also wear what I am comfortable with. Also, I observe that people are comfortable with what I have on. I am not a designer freak.  I don’t take too much time while dressing. I have loads of shoes and clothes as a woman.  It takes me time to choose the one I want to wear.  My fashion has evolved from when I was younger. I wore a lot of things that showed my skin in the past.  I am 40 years old now so I have toned down a bit.  I can wear bum shorts to a beach not to a public outing.

Full figure
I was slim until I started having my children.  I know that I can never be a size 12 any more.  I have to carry my size with confidence. I want full figured women to take pride in their stature.  I maintain a healthy diet and I ensure that I do not look bigger than I am.  I am the current ambassador of big, black and bold.

I have no candidate for 2015 — Buhari
Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd)
A former military Head of State, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has said the has no anointed candidate for any political position in the country. Buhari, also a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, said this on Saturday in Kano at a sensitisation workshop, organised by the Kano APC Forum for Peace and Equity.

The former head of state said he had no candidate and urged anybody who wanted to aspire to any post to feel free to do so.“Buhari has not anointed anybody as a candidate, so whoever people want is his candidate. “Whoever emerges for the party as the people’s candidate at the local, state or presidential level is Buhari’s candidate. So Buhari’s candidate is the people’s candidate,” he said.

According to him, the APC as a party is not concerned about Buhari as a person or anybody but about the future of Nigeria and Nigerians. He urged members of the parties to ensure the success of the APC in future elections. Buhari was represented by a former member of the House of Representatives,  Faruk Aliyu.

Earlier, the former governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, who was also represented, stressed the importance of unity among the APC members. “APC has a history of unity because it came into being following the decision of three parties to merge.”

Also speaking, the chairman of the forum, Umar El-Yakub, urged the party’s leaders to avoid politics of hate, deceit and selfish interest in order to achieve its objectives.

US Rapper Wale Explains Why He's Never Been To Nigeria Until Now

In a radio chat with Toolz on Beatfm, Wale said the reason he's never been to Nigeria until now was because his parents, who are both from Ondo state, were so poor they couldn't afford to bring him home.

"I grew up poor. We lived in DC, in the projects. Getting a ticket to Nigeria on $20, 000 income yearly, to my family that wasn't really... you know...like I was a 15 year old with a decent job, I'm not going to save up to go to Nigeria. That wasn't what I was thinking when I was that age. And then I was in college and the money tight right then. And then I get this record deal when I dropped out of school, you're running around so much you don't even have time to see your own parents"

Chinese Man Sues Wife For Ugly Children

Chinese man sues wife over ugly child – and wins $120,000, and good on him. Expect many more of these lawsuits in the future. It has always bugged me the way women commodities their bodies: slaughtering on cosmetics, changing their hair colour, getting bosom jobs, injecting botox into their faces and the list goes on and on. Apart from the fact we’re told we men should not objectify women when women clearly are the biggest intimate objectifiers of their bodies, I found myself worried that such women have no honour.
A big part about honour is honesty and a woman with a fake body is not being honest about herself. For me as a man, I look at a woman’s body and her features to guage how healthy she is physically and if she would produce good children for me because frankly I’m shopping for a good mother for my children.

This woman committed fraud and I feel for the poor husband here. He obviously was looking out for the best interests of his children when he selected this woman, meanwhile she was only thinking about the best interests of herself. This woman frankly should not have been able to reproduce because she’s the carrier of genetic refuse. Think about it, would you want to have children with a haemophiliac, a person with Huntington’s victim or Down’s syndrome? Of course you wouldn’t, and not because you hate the person with the disease, but because you love your future children too much to put them through such torment. I applaud the judge’s decision here in this case, this man’s children have been afflicted in a way that will stay with them all their lives and if we give them cosmetic surgery too then this crime will only repeated itself. I’m hoping in the near future we will see many more cases like this and more lawsuits against women who get cosmetic surgery. Beauty is not skin deep, it’s in your genes and if you think otherwise you’re the shallow one here.

Two Wonder Boys In Imo State Stun The World
A scary but heart warming incident happened in Imo State on September 27, 2013. Two teenagers, Gideon Emenike and Chibuisi Nwafor, aged between 16 and 17 years, performed a feat which not only shocked their rural community of Umuchima Ubaha, Okigwe LGA, but the whole state. It also had the state Police Commissioner, Mohammed Katsina, scampering to the community. The teenagers launched a rocket, which both of them fabricated, into space.

Thirty minutes, and over five kilometres later, it crashed into the backyard of Augustine Eke, a pensioner. The sound was deafening. And the villagers did an Usain Bolt. The first report Katsina got was that a bomb, the handiwork of some hoodlums, had exploded in the area. So, he went prepared. But on arrival, he was taken aback. Hoodlums were not at work. It was two gifted teenagers, putting their God-given talents into practice. Katsina described their action as “excessively reckless,” but noted: “It was an exercise into the world of science and technology by some adventurous, skillful, and intelligent young boys with incredible creativity.” Secondary school graduates.

Here is the story of Gideon and Ndubuisi. The two are secondary school graduates who passed out in 2012. Due to financial constraints, they have not been able to go further. The road to their feat, according to one of them, Gideon, who attended Federal Government College, Okigwe, started when he was still in school. While in SS1, he was asked to do a school project. He built a helicopter. In SS2, he built a rocket which he took to a national competition in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He was adjudged the second best. At another competition organised by the Society for Science and Technology, he again came second. At an Olympiad competition, he also came second, and was told that he would represent Nigeria at a competition in Brazil. That never happened. His school principal, he said, called him one day and told him he was no longer going to be Nigeria’s representative. He holds it against the principal. “I still dont know why the principal cancelled the trip. This frustrated me somehow, but later, I picked up from where I dropped, and started again,” he says.

The courage to pick up and continue brought him in contact with Chibuisi Nwafor, a like-mind, with whom he launched the rocket. The two pooled their brains together. Gideon: “That was how we planned to build a rocket and a satellite, and send it into space. It was an amateur satellite.” CP Katsina says simple components, including sugar and computer accessories, were used. Mercifully, there was no casualty. And mercifully, again, on deactivation, it was  found it had no toxic or radioactive materials. But more heart-warming: The boys did not intend any mischief.  They were just two adventurous young boys, driven by a zeal to excel. Gideon said he was challenged that other countries were launching satellites into space.

Let me commend these two teenagers. What they did proves, just in case anybody was doubting it, that raw talents abound in Nigeria. What Nigeria lacks is the will to put them together and propel our country. Nothing confirms this unwillingness than the deafening silence from both the state and federal governments that has greeted the feat of the young boys. That is why I thought the attention of President Goodluck Jonathan should be drawn to it.

In drawing his attention to the teenagers, I am protesting the conspiracy of silence and wastage of talents. This is a government which says it is hunting for gifted men and women with very special attributes and yet…. These young boys are from Imo State, a state which its governor claims to have been investing in education long before he became governor. And yet…. So, how come neither the state government nor the federal government has tried to locate these teenagers, ask them questions, and encourage them? Where is the Federal Ministry of Technology? Didn’t anybody in that ministry read the story? Or, is it that the boys came from the wrong state and/or the wrong part of the country? If the boys were from the South-west or the South-south, for example, would it have been different? I think so. Here is why.

In the South-South, ex-militants are being sent to different parts of the world, to some of the best schools, to put their talents into use. Some of them have been trained as pilots and aeronautical engineers. And just a couple of months ago, a teenage stowaway on an Arik Air flight from Benin Airport to the local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport was treated as a hero. For embarking on a dangerous, criminal act, he became an instant celebrity, and hero (emphasis mine), with Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, and the MD of FAAN George Uriesi, posing for photographs with him. He has since been granted scholarship from secondary to university level by the Edo State government. For now, he is in the boarding house of one of the best secondary schools in Benin.

Before the Edo State offer, a Foundation linked to the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, had also offered him scholarship. And that’s for embarking on a dangerous adventure which dented Nigeria’s image. Even his mum became a celebrity, granting several interviews, and asking the government to take over the welfare of his other children. See?

Now, compare him to these two teenagers from Imo who are truly gifted and have the potential of putting Nigeria, positively, on the world map. Nobody is publishing their photographs. Nobody is talking to them or show-casing them. Nobody is celebrating them. It is as if they don’t exist. It is as if they did nothing. Where are the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and his government? And where are the Federal Government and its Ministries for Education and Science and Technology?

For the records, there are many Gideons and Chibuisis in Nigeria. Young people with raw talents and a burning zeal to be of use to their country. But nobody cares. If these  teenagers were armed robbers, kidnappers, thugs, cultists, assassins or terrorists, somebody would have taken note.

Mr. President, I present to you these two gifted teenagers, Chikodi Chiadikobi Emenike and Chibuisi Nwafor. They say they want to study aeronautical engineering. Gideon throws a challenge. “If the federal government can sponsor us, we can take Nigeria to any level they want.” I believe him. Take up the challenge, Mr. President. A directive from you to the appropriate ministries will make them realise their dream. And it will be for the good of our dear country, Nigeria.

Conrad Murray-
It's You're Fault I'm Blabbing About MJ's Penis
Conrad Murray is pointing the finger back at Michael Jackson's Estate after it threatened to sue over stories he told about holding MJ's penis claiming the Estate was the first to open the can of worms that is MJ's medical secrets.

As we reported, the MJ Estate is threatening to sue Murray for blabbing to the media about the singer's sordid medical details -- including a story about holding Michael's penis every night. The Estate is claiming Murray has been violating the doctor-patient privilege by running his mouth in public.

But sources close to Murray said, he's not scared because once Katherine sued for wrongful death (and exposed a bunch of MJ's medical secrets at the trial) she compromised the doctor-patient privilege on her son's behalf.

Murray's team believes the information the Estate is trying to protect is, at least generally speaking, already out in the public exposed during the AEG wrongful death trial so he's not saying anything new (minus a few specifics).
Suge Knight Pulled Over By Cops
Crazy photo of Suge Knight assuming the position -- LAPD officers pulled him over Friday afternoon with guns out, but we're told it was all a case of mistaken identity.

Law enforcement sources said police had received a report of an assault, and the suspect matched Suge's description -- so when officers spotted Suge in his vehicle ... they pulled him over, and jumped out of their patrol car with their guns drawn.

We're told Suge agreed to go to the police station, where he explained he wasn't the man they were looking for ... in fact, police now believe the initial report of an assault was bogus.

Suge was eventually released but sources close to the hip hop mogul said, he is extremely pissed about the misunderstanding and is considering filing a lawsuit.

My Family Is Not Against My Marriage -Peter 'Psquare' Okoye
peter lola
Peter Okoye in a new interview with Encomium has denied the stories that his family members were not in support of his marriage to wife Lola neither was that the reason why his elder brother Jude didn't attend his wedding. In the chat, Peter said:

Is there any iota of truth in the tale that your family didn’t support the wedding?
That is very far from being the truth. I saw some of those reports and was full of laughter. Everybody is just laughing because the reports are like comedy to us. Honestly,
there is no iota of truth in the rumour. But it’s one of the prices you pay as a celebrity, so I remain focused.

How would you describe your wife?
Honestly, she is a wonderful woman. She has virtually all the qualities that every man would want in his ideal woman. She’s caring, loving, God-fearing, hard working – just name it, that’s my wife for you.

What are the sterling qualities that endeared her to your heart?
I just said that now. No man will not want to spend the rest of his life with a woman that possesses the qualities I mentioned.
Why was the wedding delayed till now despite you having all it takes to be a husband?
The truth is that we have always known that the wedding will come up. We just didn’t want to rush things unnecessarily. We waited for the right time.

Entertainers are not used to keeping one woman, how is your own case going to be different?
Entertainers don’t keep one woman? I don’t think so.

BABY OF THE WEEK: Beverly Osagie Adun
Children are blessings from God and they bring joy to their parent and family at large. No doubt every married woman feels fulfilled and happy that she now has a complete flourishing home when she gives birth to her first baby. The men also seize every opportunity to announce their status as a father.

The loves for our kids move us to call them different sweet names.  Mr. and Mrs. Osagie Adun love their daughter so much that they have many pet names for her;  mirror, sunshine, Beverlicious, sweet princess, etc. Beverly Adun is our baby of the week.

Today she is being celebrated because she is a precious child, a gift from Almighty God to her parent and to the human race. Our children are worth celebrating because that way we show appreciation to God for the gift of life and express how valued they are to us.

POLITICS: Our govs’ defection, a sad development – Anenih
Chief Tony Anenih
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Tony Anenih, has described the defection of five governors of the party to the opposition All Progressives Congress as a sad development. He, however, urged party loyalists across the nation not to panic over the  governors’ decision. Anenih said this while responding to questions from journalists in Abuja, on Thursday.

The BoT chairman said he took solace in the fact that the party leadership including President Goodluck Jonathan, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida, former National Chairmen, Senators Barnabas Gemade and Ahmadu Ali and himself “invested enough energy, commitment, maturity and sincerity in the collective effort at reconciliation.”

He said, “Indeed, I had expected the governors to stay on in the party which  offered them a unique opportunity to serve their people. “Surprisingly, they decided to abandon their home and platform to take up tenancy in an opposition party even when it was apparent that the effort of Mr. President for genuine reconciliation was enough for them to see good reason to show restraint and understanding. “However, as adults, the final decision was and remains theirs.”

Anenih urged members of the party  not to be disturbed by the departure of the governors, but to continue to mobilise grassroots support for the party and the President’s transformation agenda.

He noted that the  party was big and strong enough to rebound, as it had always done, in the face of such challenges.

He urged them to “rest assured” that, on its  part, the party at the national level, would strive relentlessly to continue to provide focused leadership as well as “keep your hopes and aspirations alive especially at this time and in the months leading to the crucial 2015 general elections.”

The BoT chairman also waxed  philosophical  that “What looks like a setback, in politics, can turn out to be a blessing in disguise.”

Michael Jackson Estate To Muray 'You're a Shameful Coward'

The Michael Jackson Estate has had just about enough of Dr. Conrad Murray running his mouth -- talking about things like how he used to hold MJ's penis every night -- and now it's demanding he shut up once and for all ... or face a lawsuit.

MJ Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman fired off a cease and desist letter to Murray earlier this week, writing, "Your recent comments to the media about Mr. Jackson’s medical treatment and ultimate death shamefully violate the physician-patient privilege under California law."

He calls Murray a COWARD for attempting to use the media to defend himself ... instead of testifying in court during his manslaughter trial.

If Murray keeps talking, Weitzman says the Estate will file suit -- and will subsequently inform any medical board with which Murray attempts to obtain his medical license that he violates the doctor-patient privilege willy-nilly.

As we reported, Murray has been blabbing his big mouth all over the place ... telling reporters all sorts of sordid details about MJ, like how the singer couldn't hold in his pee while he was sleeping ... and how he held MJ's penis every night.
GOSSIP: Naked Pictures And Texts Crashed Uche  Iwuji Marriage

It is no longer news that the barely one year old marriage of controversial Nollywood actress, Uche I
wuji has reportedly crashed.

Well report going round the social media has it that what lead to the marriage collapse of the once happy union between Iwuji and her international businessman lover, Mr. Juwon Lawal was as a result of naked photos and sex texts. In fact, unconfirmed information reaching Us has it that shocked and disappointed Lawal has abandoned his matrimonial home and fled abroad to calm his frayed nerves and possibly get over the betrayal.

Another unconfirmed report claimed that Iwuji’s amorous affair with the Managing Director of one of the foremost family banks in Nigeria was responsible for the many crises in their troubled marriage. Lawal EE learnt reportedly heard that his wife was having a secret affair with the top banker and as well discovered some BBM/SMS messages exchanged between her and her lover boy senior banker whose financial house just clocked 30 and still celebrating.

Some of the BBM chats included n*ked pictures of the actress, which she allegedly sent to her randy and married lover boy spoilt brat. It was further alleged that after the heartbreaking findings devastated Lawal abandoned his ‘darling’ wife and their new born baby for the States.

However, in a recent chat with Yes International Magazine, the pretty actress debunked the rumour of her marriage crash, insisting that her young family was still intact and waxing stronger.
Well, lets hope the gossips are all lies and she is telling the truth as regards the state of her marital status.
Best wishes.
