A used Fiat car used by Pope just sold for $300,000 According to tmz, ... no, this is not an April Fools' joke.

Auction site Charitybuzz just sold one of the Fiat 500 Lounge hatchbacks that Pope Francis cruised around in during his trip to NYC and D.C. last year. Its new owner, ironically, is a Jewish businessman named Miles Nadal.

Madonna's fighting a new battle over her children she wants them to have the right to live in her ritzy NYC condo while she's on the road.

Madge is suing the owners of her apartment building over a new rule put in place years after she signed the lease. Madonna says when she originally signed, the deal was the apartment could be used by her, her spouse, her children, other relatives and even domestic employees.

US rapper mogul, Jay Z is suing the former owners of his music streaming service, Tidal, claiming they gave him an exaggerated figure of subscribers ahead of the sale. 

According to reports, Jay Z filed paper work against Swedish venture capital company, Verdane claiming Aspiro and the music streaming platform WiMP, which would later become TIDAL, had far fewer than the 503k subscribers the company had claimed they had at the time of the sale.

Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee, known for her role in popular TV series Balika Vadhu, committed suicide today Friday April 1st. A Mumbai police officer said the 24-year-old was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her house in Mumbai’s Goregaon. Some 'personal reasons' are said to be behind the suicide.

According to news update from Ghana; President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana has said that Nigerians and other citizens of African countries must apply for visas as from July before they will be allowed to enter Ghana.

The President said visas will be issued at the entry point and would attract an option of 30 days stay in the country.

Wow! this is amazing... dog as a pilot? Yeah! it happened as Shadow the dog used his paws to steer a jet around a figure-of-eight circuit at 3,000ft following weeks of training. The dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier-Collie, was one of three dogs to go through flight school as part of Sky 1 TV series Dogs Might Fly and is now officially the first pooch to pilot a plane.

The aircraft's controls were modified so Shadow could hit buttons in response to certain sounds.

Humorist and Buja FM radio host Alfred Aubin Mugenzi was arrested on Tuesday evening by Burundi’s National Intelligence Service (known by its French acronym, SNR) and charged with insulting President Pierre Nkurunziza.

Biafran struggle attracts foreign countries

                           
The sustained agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra appears to be attracting some attention from foreign countries, following the visit of the Phillippian Senate President’s aide, Lady Cynthia Esgurrna Touraha, to Owerri. Touraha was a guest of Imo Bilie Initiative, IBI, a non-governmental organization that also champions the cause of ensuring that Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, gets justice in Federal High Court, Owerri.

It was also gathered that Touraha was scheduled to witness the court proceedings yesterday, in the suit filed by IBI against the Federal Government.

Police arrest seven people in death of Georgia lottery winner

Authorities in Georgia have arrested seven people in the death of a 20-year-old lottery winner, Craigory Burch Jr, who was killed during a home invasion just two months after he won $434,000 jackpot. Craigory, who until his win in November 2015, was a forklift driver, lived with his girlfriend and their child, who witnessed his murder at their Fitzgerald home in Georgia.

Three masked men reportedly blasted their way into his home in January 2016, demanded his wallet and money and riddled the young father with bullets during the operation.

Belgian police have released the man who was arrested on the suspicion of being the 'man in the hat' captured on CCTV with two suicide bombers at Brussels Airport due to a lack of evidence.
The man released, Faycal Cheffou, who is said to be a journalist was arrested on Saturday but was released earlier yesterday by the  police due to a lack of evidence, according to authorities.

10,000 hunters seek clearance to fight Boko Haram in Sambisa

                   
An estimated 10,000 local hunters from the North-east of Nigeria gathered recently in Adamawa State for their annual oath-taking festival, known as Salala in the local parlance, Premium Times reports

The hunters, dressed in their warfare attires, and with their Dane guns dangling over their shoulders, vowed to rid the society of criminals. They appealed to the government to make use of their members in the fight against terrorism and other social vices.

EUROPE ALERT!!! 500 ISIS terrorists reportedly deployed across Europe to cause next set of attacks


Terrorist group ISIS has reportedly trained 500 terrorists and sent them into Europe disguising as refugees to cause maximum damage and terror on the European continent, according to reports from the Associated Press.

The world is still getting to grips with the shock from the Paris terror attack and most recently the Belgium airport attack. Attacks which ISIS have claimed responsibility for, but with this new tactic employed by the group, Europe is in for more shock and grief if the reports are true.

IPOB alleges plot by DSS and FG to kill Nnamdi Kanu on his next court hearing

The Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged there is a plot in place by the Department of State Security and Federal government to kill their leader Nnamdi Kanu while en-route to his next court meeting, where he is being tried by the Federal Government for treasonable offences.

Abducted 15-year-old UTME candidate returns home

                       
A 15-year-old girl, Rita Clement, who was abducted by unidentified persons while on her way to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, has returned home.

Our correspondent learnt that Clement was dropped off by her abductors in the Oshodi area on Wednesday around 9pm, and given money to take a bus back home.

Football star quits Belgium with family after Brussels terror attack, says 'it made him fear for his life'

Top football star Matias Suarez who plays for Belgium's biggest club Anderlecht has decided to call it quits with football in Belgium after yesterday's terrorists attack at one of the country's airports.

Suarez, from Argentina, whose club is based in Brussels, says he has informed his agent and is determined to leave the club and country as soon as possible saying he fears for the safety of his family.
The Argentine forward has revealed that Belgium is a different place since the attacks on Paris in November.
