Police arrest seven people in death of Georgia lottery winner

Authorities in Georgia have arrested seven people in the death of a 20-year-old lottery winner, Craigory Burch Jr, who was killed during a home invasion just two months after he won $434,000 jackpot. Craigory, who until his win in November 2015, was a forklift driver, lived with his girlfriend and their child, who witnessed his murder at their Fitzgerald home in Georgia.

Three masked men reportedly blasted their way into his home in January 2016, demanded his wallet and money and riddled the young father with bullets during the operation.

Belgian police have released the man who was arrested on the suspicion of being the 'man in the hat' captured on CCTV with two suicide bombers at Brussels Airport due to a lack of evidence.
The man released, Faycal Cheffou, who is said to be a journalist was arrested on Saturday but was released earlier yesterday by the  police due to a lack of evidence, according to authorities.

10,000 hunters seek clearance to fight Boko Haram in Sambisa

                   
An estimated 10,000 local hunters from the North-east of Nigeria gathered recently in Adamawa State for their annual oath-taking festival, known as Salala in the local parlance, Premium Times reports

The hunters, dressed in their warfare attires, and with their Dane guns dangling over their shoulders, vowed to rid the society of criminals. They appealed to the government to make use of their members in the fight against terrorism and other social vices.

Music royalty, Sir Elton John has been slammed with a new lawsuit launched by a former bodyguard who makes some nasty allegations of sexual harassment on the job.

According to TMZ, the “Candle in The Wind” singer is being sued by former bodyguard Jeffrey Wenninger, who cites three separate 2014 in which he claims Sir Elton grabbed his private parts.

EUROPE ALERT!!! 500 ISIS terrorists reportedly deployed across Europe to cause next set of attacks


Terrorist group ISIS has reportedly trained 500 terrorists and sent them into Europe disguising as refugees to cause maximum damage and terror on the European continent, according to reports from the Associated Press.

The world is still getting to grips with the shock from the Paris terror attack and most recently the Belgium airport attack. Attacks which ISIS have claimed responsibility for, but with this new tactic employed by the group, Europe is in for more shock and grief if the reports are true.

IPOB alleges plot by DSS and FG to kill Nnamdi Kanu on his next court hearing

The Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged there is a plot in place by the Department of State Security and Federal government to kill their leader Nnamdi Kanu while en-route to his next court meeting, where he is being tried by the Federal Government for treasonable offences.

Speaking at the first National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja this year, the president said the administration had so far raked N3 trillion into the Treasury Single Account, TSA. Abducted 15-year-old UTME candidate returns home

                       
A 15-year-old girl, Rita Clement, who was abducted by unidentified persons while on her way to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, has returned home.

Our correspondent learnt that Clement was dropped off by her abductors in the Oshodi area on Wednesday around 9pm, and given money to take a bus back home.

Football star quits Belgium with family after Brussels terror attack, says 'it made him fear for his life'

Top football star Matias Suarez who plays for Belgium's biggest club Anderlecht has decided to call it quits with football in Belgium after yesterday's terrorists attack at one of the country's airports.

Suarez, from Argentina, whose club is based in Brussels, says he has informed his agent and is determined to leave the club and country as soon as possible saying he fears for the safety of his family.
The Argentine forward has revealed that Belgium is a different place since the attacks on Paris in November.

No governor can be an emperor- Catholic Church tells El Rufai as it react to controversial preaching bill


Following the public criticism that has greeted the proposed anti-preaching law by the Kaduna state government, the Catholic Church of Nigeria has asked the state governor, Nasir El Rufai to thread with caution as no governor can be an emperor. 

The Catholic Church's position was made known by the Director of Caritas International, Rev. Fr Evaristus Bassey, at a press briefing by Caritas International, a department under the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in Abuja yesterday March 22nd.

A young lady freaked out yesterday after she opened a bar of Neutrogena soap she had just bought and found a real $20dollar bill in it.

Marie said she thought it was fake until she got the money out and held it in her hands. That was when she bursted into tears and a prayer of thanks. Soldiers destroy illegal crude oil farm in Abia

                 
Soldiers of the 144 Battalion, Asa, Abia State have destroyed illegal crude oil reservoirs in a swamp located at Umuelechi community in Ukwa West council area of the state. The reservoirs are estimated to have the capacity to contain over 10,000 liters of crude oil drawn from a pipeline that passes through the Umuelechi community to the Imo River.

The demolition exercise which was led by Capt. Sampson Ademola and other members of the Joint Task Force witnessed the destruction of some materials suspected to be used by the vandals in loading the content into waiting trucks.

A young woman in an attempt to impress the judges during a dance competition, accidentally set her private parts on fire.
